Birmingham Residents File Lawsuit Against UPS

By Alabama News Network

Some Birmingham, Alabama, residents are filing a lawsuit over a UPS plane crash that killed the pilot and co-pilot in August.

The cargo plane went down about a half mile north of Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport's runway on a street running parrell to the airport.

Four residents say the plane clipped trees and damaged their homes. No one on the ground was injured during the crash.

UPS released a statement calling the crash "tragic," but saying it doesn't comment on ongoing legal proceedings.
