Biggest Christmas Tree In Greenville History

By Amanda Wade

It's beginning to look at lot like Christmas in Greenville. The City's Annual Christmas tree went in the ground right across from City Hall.

It took a team of nearly 10 people to put the over 40 foot, Eastern Red Cedar tree in the ground, and the Head of Greenville's Horticulture Department says it is the biggest tree yet.
The tree was donated anonymously from someone in Lowndes County and clocks in at nearly 2,000 pounds.
The tree lighting will be December 5th at 5:30pm followed by the annual Christmas parade.
