Barbeque is great any time of the year, but especially in the summer months, and people in Tallassee were treated at the 5th annual Tallassee Now! festival.

Friday and Saturday, hundreds of people and families enjoyed arts, crafts and entertainment at Belle Park.

Most of the event's excitement surrounded the annual barbeque cook-off. Alabama News Network Meteorologist Marcy Novak was one of the judges.

The cook-off, now called the "Jerry Beasley Cook-Off" is named in memory of Beasley who helped start the annual event.

All money raised this weekend will go towards Tallassee's Riverwalk Extension project.
