Triple Murder Suspect Arraignment Postponed in Lowndes Co.

By George McDonald

From the West Alabama Newsroom--  The arraignment of triple murder suspect Deandra Lee has been re-scheduled until next month.

Lee was scheduled to be arraigned Friday morning at the Lowndes County Courthouse today -- but the case was continued until September 23rd.

Lowndes County District Attorney Charlotte Tesmer says during the arraignment Lee will be read the charges against him -- enter his plea -- and a trial date will likely be set.

Tesmer says Lee was indicted on six counts of capital murder in the shooting deaths of nine year old twins Jordan and Taylor Dejerinett, and their 73-year-old babysitter, Jack Girdner.

She says Lee has also been indicted in Lowndes County on other charges -- unrelated to the murder charges.
