Animal Rights Activists Rally For Stronger Legislation

Animals rights activists rally at the statehouse for stronger legislation to crackdown on cockfighting.

Cockfighting is illegal in all 50 states, but the fine is pretty minimal.

A bill working its way through the legislature would increase the penalty for cockfighting from a maximum of fifty-dollars up to six-thousand dollars.

Animal rights groups are also pushing a bill that would help keep low-cost spay and neuter clinics open in Alabama.

Millie Harris, Animal Rights Supporter, says, "We believe that this one way, if we could put all of our efforts behind one particular thing it would be to get people to spay and neuter their pets. Our goal is to cut down on these animals that are entering these shelters that are being destroyed every single year, every single day."

The Humane Society reports four million animals in shelters are euthanized each year in the country.

The spay and neuter bill passed the House, it's expected to go to the Senate Wednesday.

The HSUS lies to the public to get money. What they don't tell you is that the majority of those animals are there because they have behavior problems so bad no one can control them or because they are near death in age. Maine just ran out of dogs to adopt in their shelters. Remember this group's goal is to end all use of animals as pets. They believe that all domestic animals must be done away with because of global warming. In fact Agenda 21 is purposely dumbing down our education of children for a more socialist agenda of controlling the consumption of resources. People are to live in tightly packed cities and 80% of the US is to be given over to the animals. HSUS is a socialist reform organization pushing communism into America by controlling people's rights. See AGenda 21 video. Maurice Strong sits on the board of HSUS and says they will push this socialist movement by using organizations such as HSUS to pass laws limiting your rights. These are the new Nazis.

America is founded on the principles within the Christian Bible. That every person is endowed with unalienable rights that can not be taken by our government. In Deuteronomy 4:15-19 states: For your own good, be extremely careful-- not to act corruptly and make an idol for yourselves in the shape of any figure, a male or female form, or the form of any beast on earth, or of any winged creature that flies over the earth, or any creature that crawls on the ground, or any fish in the waters under the earth, when you look at the heavens and see the sun, moon and stars do not be led astray to worship these things. The Lord has provided hem for all people everywhere. And this my friends means animals are for people to use for their personal gain regardless of what that use is and it is NOT within the constitutional authority of nor is it the purpose of our government to protect and/or worship animals by awarding "rights" to animals.

This rally at the capital is no more than a power push by HSUS to impose their will on the gamefowl owners in Alabama. I am sure that rural Alabama is more than capable of making thier own decision without some out of state organization coming in to push their agenda.

The HSUS's motives are clear to most who take the time to obseve them. They intend to end all animal sports, and animal agriculture. So this should alarm all that hunt, fish, raise livestock for sale, and etc., not just gamefowl owners.

Alabama is in great shape if all it has to worry about is a chicken. Don't let hsus pull the wool over your eyes. They are mean vicious people, out to end American agriculture and the American way of life.
