The U.S. Air Force has reversed its plan to remove seven C-130 cargo planes from a Montgomery-based Air Force reserve unit, according to U.S. Rep. Martha Roby.
While the cargo planes are staying at the base under this current plan, Roby warns the plan for Maxwell is not yet finalized.
The Air Force originally announced the cuts to the base back in February as part of a nationwide downsizing plan.
At least 550 jobs are related to planes of the 908th Airlift Wing.
