By Alabama News Network

Alabama State University trustees and Governor Robert Bentley will meet Monday for their first formal meeting since the release of an audit into the university's finances.

They're set to discuss the search for a new university president, which Bentley has asked trustees to delay. Bentley and the Board will also talk about the financial audit that showed misuse of university funds. Trustees have challenged those findings, calling them misleading.  The governor has made it clear that he would not consider a motion to hold the Monday meeting in private.

The meeting is set for 3:30 Monday afternoon. Stay with Alabama News Network for the latest.
