The Alabama Department of Transportation will be auctioning off more than 300 vehicles tomorrow.
The auction will start at 9:00 in the morning on Traffic Operations Drive in the Equipment Yard.
Vehicles include trucks, vans, SUVs, farming and construction equipment.
There is no reserve.
The money raised will be used to purchase new equipment.
"This is the bread and butter. This really makes the program work good. This also saves the tax payer a lot of money, because we are selling these trucks when they still have Value left in them. Sometimes we get within $300 to $500 of what we paid for them even with the milage on them. But then we get good discounts," says Ron Pruitt with ALDOT.
Last year, ALDOT raised more than $10 million from equipment auctions.
