ALDOT Announces I-65 Lane Closures this Weekend

By WNCF Staff

Work is continuing on projects to widen I-65, repave lanes, and upgrade bridge railings on I-65 between Montgomery and Prattville.

Weather permitting, I-65 North between mile markers 173 (North Boulevard) and 179 (Cobbs Ford Rd.) will be reduced to two lanes this weekend to update existing bridge railings in the area. The closure will begin at 6 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 9 and will reopen by 8 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 10.

State Troopers and the Montgomery Police Department will assist with traffic control. Moderate delays can be expected. Motorists should obey work zone speed limits and pay attention to advisory signs.
