Church Van Rolls Over on I-65 in Calera; 12 people Injured

While driving back to Birmingham from a Montgomery church conference, a van full of people rolled over on I-65 in Calera.

The crash happened at about 5:15 p.m. Saturday and 12 people are recovering from injuries

Pastor Jonathan Woods with Worship and Deliverance Ministries said tread came apart from one of the tires causing the van to roll over.

Woods said the van was loaded with children and adults returning to Birmingham from a church conference in the Capitol City.

Fortunately, all of the passengers were taken to area hospitals with minor injuries.
