PETA Behind Naked Woman Protest

By WNCF Staff

MONTGOMERY (WNCF) – The controversial animal rights group PETA was behind a stunt today in Montgomery that involved a nude woman confined to a cage.

Amber TeGantvoort had her naked body painted like a tiger to protest Ringling Brothers circus, which will be in town beginning Thursday.

She sat in a cage at the corner of South Lawrence Street and Dexter Avenue below a banner that read "Wild Animals Don't Belong Behind Bars".

PETA claims the circus mistreats its animals – a charge the circus flatly denies. The stunt took place.
