Sinkhole Closes Part of I-65

By WNCF Staff

HARTSELLE (WNCF) – A large portion of I-65 was closed Thursday because of a sinkhole.

The Alabama Department of Transportation says 16 miles of road have been closed between Hartselle and Priceville and traffic has been detoured.

ALDOT says there’s no timetable on how long it will take to repair the problem, which may be complicated by additional depressions in nearby areas of the road.
