Opelika Human Remains Identified

By WNCF Staff

OPELIKA (WNCF) – Police in Opelika say they have identified those human remains that were found in a wooded area last week.

The Lee County Coroner says they are from 35-year-old Paul Metroplos, who has been missing from a mental health facility since August.

Metropolis was found by Alabama Power employees last Thursday near one of their facilities.

Authorities say the case is now closed, as no foul play is suspected.
