Animal Shelter Boss Charged w/ Cruelty

BIRMINGHAM (WNCF) – The founder of a Birmingham animal shelter is being charged with animal cruelty.

Terra Cotromano was charged with 20 counts of cruelty to animals Thursday. The Executive Director of the Emergency Animal Rescue Service, or TEARS, is also accused of financial irregularities.

She was fired after allegations were levied against her in December.
