Human Remains Found in Opelika

OPELIKA (WNCF) – Lee County investigators found skeletal remains in a wooded area Thursday off Enterprise Drive.

Opelika Police say they found human remains spread over a wide area after being alerted to the scene by a caller.

No identification has been made and investigators are now trying to see if they can find a connection to a recent open case.

The Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences will aid in the investigation.
