Attorney's Appeal on Sex Charges Denied

MONTGOMERY (WNCF) – An appeal from a former Athens attorney, sentenced to six years in prison for sexual abuse, has been denied.

John Hamilton McLain’s appeal was denied by the Alabama Supreme Court according to Attorney General Troy King.

The 51-year-old McLain was found guilty in February of 2009 for allegedly sexually abusing two girls – ages 12 and 13.

He was arrested in July of 2008.
