House Passes $235 MIL PACT Bill

By WNCF Staff

MOTNGOMERY (WNCF) - The Alabama House passed a bill Thursday that will ensure payment on the remaining contracts in the state’s pre-paid college tuition plan.

The bill would provide $235 million to guarantee coverage for the remaining students in the plan.

House members voted unanimously to pass the bill. They also rejected an amendment to remove a tuition cap.

The same version of the bill must still be passed by the Senate.
