MONTGOMERY (WNCF) – The next time you vote at the polls in Alabama you may need a photo ID.

The House Constitution and Elections Committee considered a bill Wednesday that would require such identification next time you cast a ballot.

Opponents say that would make it harder for low income residents and non-drivers to vote.

Currently you can use various non-photo IDs to vote – including a utility bill, fishing license, or pistil permit.
