Thousands Jobless After Gaming Centers Close

By WNCF Staff

MONTGOMERY (WNCF) - In our big story tonight… thousands of Alabamians are now out of a job as the battle over electronic gambling continues.

VictoryLand representatives will hand out employee paychecks at the Macon County Courthouse Saturday, because their entire facility is now closed.

Meanwhile, many employees at Country Crossing filed for unemployment in Houston County Friday.

VictoryLand says they will fight to try and re-open their gaming center.
