Hyundai Returns to 5 Day Work Week

Montgomery's Hyundai plant is back to a 5 day work week – at least for now.

The plant is returning to a normal Monday through Friday schedule for at least the month of July.

This is the first time that’s happened since last year, when the economy began its downturn.

Hyundai's Sonata and Santa Fe are made here in Montgomery and are the top two selling cars in the United States.

Sales have increased during the spring sale season, but customer demand will determine whether or not the plant stays open for five days in August and beyond.
