139 Arrested, Many Underage, at BamaJam

Authorities report more than 100 alcohol-related arrests at the Bama Jam music festival, most involving underage drinking.

Alabama Beverage Control Lt. Jean Turner said in today’s Dothan Eagle that there had been at least 139 arrests, with 124 of them involving drinking by someone under the age of 21.

Promoter Ronnie Gilley said the staff is working hard to keep alcohol out of the hands of younger fans at the 3-day event near Enterprise.
