Well the summer has brought warm weather to the River Region, but also what appears to be a tragic accident.

Montgomery police say that a 3-year-old boy drowned yesterday afternoon on Fresno Lane after falling into a backyard pool.

There were at least four adults as well as other children present in the backyard when the boy fell into the water. It’s not known, however, how long the youngster was underwater.

Police are treating the case as a death investigation, but the drowning appears to be accidental and there are no signs of foul play.
