Apple Debuts a Coaching App for Anxiety

The AnxietyCoach is a new Apple app to help people conquer fears and worries by guiding them through a series of confidence-building exercises. It also simultaneously tracks anxiety levels in real time and gauges their progress. Mayo Clinic psychiatrist Stephen Whiteside, Ph.D.,L.P., says, “The app is based on a long history of clinical research of what is helpful in conquering anxiety. It really challenges people to face their fears, as opposed to other apps that focus on relaxation strategies but don’t get to the core of what is helpful in the long term.”
