Dr. Schloemer's "No White Diet" can result in loosing 1lb per week.

Exercise: THIS IS ESSENTIAL!  You MUST do at least 30 minutes of sustained exercise a day.  Walking fast, swimming, treatdmill, elliptical etc is good.  The more tou exercise the more carbs you can indroduce back into your diet AFTER you make your target weight.  Also the more muscle you create  the higher metabolism you have and you burn caleries even at rest!
Learn about BODY MASS INDEX.  Try to get to a BMI of 25-27 or less. 
Tips:Park a distance from the store.  Climb stairs instead on using the elevator.  (NOTE: Be sure your medical professional has cleared you for an exercise program.)

The goal is to lose a pound a week.  That is 50 pounds a year!!  Weigh yourself each morning to monitor your weight. 

Miscellaneous:
One ounce of alcohol a day is allowed.
4 oz of cheese a day.
8oz skim milk or yogurt with non sugar sweetener (read the label)
One solid fruit
NO juices or pop.
Oatmeal and cereals are BAD as are granola bars etc (read the label)
Allow yourself a ONE HOUR binge a week.  Once you meet your target weight add carbs back-watching your weight on the scale.
About Eating Out:  All restaurant food is too calorie, the portions are twice normal and the smells and envirnment seductive and conductive to overeating-that is what they want!  Share your food, put half in the doggie bag, don't eat the fried stuff, potatoes, rice, breads and desserts.  Watch the salads dressings.  BEST-eat home more!
This is an Easy Diet: No white things-bread, pasta, potatoes, rice, banana's, sugar.
Confusing foods: Kernel corn is OK, but cornbread is not
Peas, beanshave carbs, but are OK
Cauliflower is white but is in the cabbage family and is OK
Milk is white but 8oz is OK
Banana's are a fruit, but are very high in sugar and so should be avoided.  You CAN have a solid fruit a day
Brown and "Multigrain" breads are still made with a lot of regular white flour and should be avoided.
If you must have something crunchy, get some rice crackers-very low calories/cracker.

ABOUT LIPOSUCTION, TUMMY TUCKS AND BREAST REDUCTIONS

All my patients need to realize that even though I may remove 3-12 pounds of fat in one operation, ALL that weight will return some other place int he body within ONE MONTH if you don't follow the No White Diet.  WHY?  There are still trillions of the fat cells elsewhere which will simply get bigger.  The area's I remove fat from will stay looking good (unless there is a weight gain of over 10%), but the other fat cells will enlarge.  Therefore the belly may look good after liposuction, but the face or breast, or butt or arms or thighs will swell.  I can only do so much, the rest is up to you!
