Using randomize control experience. A team at the University California Riverside found that you can intentionally increase your happiness by being kind, respectful and using your manners. Why is this important? According to earlier research: happy people have more stable marriages, stronger immune systems and higher incomes then their less positive peers. So make sure you say please and thank you the next time you can see the opportunity.
