He has an Associate Degree in Electronics from J. P. Tech and has been a Television Engineer for 13 + years. While his Dad was stationed with the Air Force in Taipei, Taiwan, his mom came back to the U.S. so he could be born at Maxwell AFB in Montgomery. He and his Mom went back to Taipei 2 weeks later to rejoin their family. Ed attended grade schools in Michigan and Alabama, graduating from Prattville High School.

Like many engineers, Ed likes to figure out how things work by disassembling them to pieces. His other hobbies include music, sports, swimming, and saltwater aquariums.
