Jesse Grear- General Manager

By Cile Waller

A twenty-five year Media Executive, Mr. Grear comes to Montgomery from Augusta, Georgia.

He started his broadcast career in 1980 with a relatively new NBC station, WAGT in Augusta. In 1990, he started his own advertising agency which quickly became the largest local agency in Georgia’s second largest city of Augusta. Mr. Grear sold the agency in 1998 and returned to WAGT as Director of Sales, whereby using very specific, “Customer Focused,” marketing and sales strategies saw the station’s revenue grow by an impressive 25%.

"I’m happy to be in Montgomery with Sagamore Hill Broadcasting, a true Broadcaster,” stated Mr. Grear. “They understand the responsibility they have to their viewers and clients to keep the public informed and entertained, and at the same time staying involved in the local community. After all, that’s what Broadcast television is all about. In addition, I am very eager to meet the community of Montgomery. From what I have heard, true Southern Hospitality is the definition of Capitol City! It will be an honor to live and work here.”

Jesse has been married to his wife, Debra, for 22 years, and has 4 children.
