Phil Doherty fill-in anchors and reports news during the ABC 32 News at 10 in HD, as well as during Good Morning America. Phil is a native of Moline, Iowa having attended Seaton School and then graduating from Alleman in Rock Island. After studying communications and music at Millikin University in Decatur, IL, he fell in with the crowd at ABC 32.

Phil is a baritone and spent some time in Europe studying opera. Prior to getting into television, he embarked on a brief career as a singer, but later found the newsroom to be a lot more fun than the stage.

Anyway, he's happy to be back in Montgomery working with the community and the great team at ABC 32. When he's not at work, Phil still likes to partake in and teach singing. He's also busy writing a book that, like most would-be writers, he will probably never finish.
