Award-winning sportscaster Adam Bagni anchors the sports segment of ABC 32's weeknight newscast at 10 PM. In addition, he serves as a contributor of sports feature stories to sister station WBMM on the CW News at 9. Adam is also the host of Friday night's Inside the Tide and Tigers (during college football season).
Adam comes to Montgomery from his hometown of Taunton, Massachusetts, outside Boston. During his time in Alabama he's covered many major local sports stories including the "resignations" of Tommy Tuberville at Auburn and Mark Gottfried at Alabama, NASCAR races at Talledega, the Navistar LPGA Classic in Prattville, Biscuits baseball, and the 2008 SEC Football Championship, including Alabama's undefeated regular season.
Prior to starting at WNCF, Adam worked for the Boston Red Sox and Bruins as a production assistant at New England Sports Network (NESN), serving in capacities as an editor and writer, among other responsibilities. He is a graduate of La Salle University in Philadelphia, where he served as the General Manager of WEXP-AM 1600. At WEXP, Adam was the play-by-play voice for the Explorers' Division-I athletics. His men's basketball broadcasts earned him an award in 2006 from the Pennsylvania Association of Broadcasters for Best Coverage of a Local Sporting Event - an award he split with the broadcasters of the Philadelphia Eagles. Adam was also an accomplished columnist for The Collegian and a talent on CSTV's broadcasts of La Salle basketball. In addition, Adam has worked as a PA for ESPN, FOX Sports, and for NBC at the 2006 Winter Olympics in Torino. He is excited to share his passion for sports with the great fans of Montgomery.
